Molten chocolate cake is a popular dessert that combines the elements of a chocolate cake and a soufflé. Its name derives from the dessert's liquid chocolate center, and it is also known as chocolate moelleux, chocolate lava cake, or simply lava cake.

Preheat your oven at 240°C.

Melt 100 g of chocolate with the butter in a bain-marie.

In a bowl, mix the whole eggs and the sugar. Gradually add the flour.

Incorporate the chocolate and mix well.

Butter and flour the moulds.

Pour a third of the mixture into the bottom of the moulds. Place 2 squares of chocolate per mould and cover them with the rest of the preparation.
